About The Event
On Tuesday 23 April, the Student Guild will be running a ‘Preparation for Placement’ workshop for students at USC Gympie Campus. The workshop will run from 12pm to 1pm and will include lunch for participants. The workshop will have a maximum of 10 participants, and will be run by Donna Cahill, Student Guild Welfare and Advocacy Officer, who is an accredited financial literacy facilitator.
The workshop incorporates financial literacy and money management, debt reduction strategies and goals, meal planning, self-care strategies, USC placement policies and procedures, what to do if your placement goes pear-shaped, and information on the services offered by the USC Student Guild. Lunch will be provided at the event. At the end of the workshop, each participant will receive a take-home placement survival kit, related to the areas covered in the workshop.
