Active Minds Fraser Coast

Established for the purpose of increasing the awareness of students, faculty, and staff at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Active Minds provides a forum and open environment for all students to speak up about mental health by hosting guest speakers and providing information fact sheets about eating disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, and other mental health disorders. The group organises fundraisers and national Active Minds programs designed to reduce stigma and raise mental health awareness

Amnesty International

Amnesty International is the world’s largest independent human rights organisation. The club’s activities include hosting events both on and off campuses, participating in social media campaigns, engaging with local MPs, and promoting and defending human rights around the world. Amnesty International USC is a great way to meet like-minded students, learn more about human rights and take practical action against violations.

LifeChoice Sunshine Coast

LifeChoice Sunshine Coast was established in 2018 for the purpose of fostering productive and respectful discussion about a range of topics relating to human life, bio-ethics, pregnancy and end-of-life care, and to provide volunteering opportunities for students to engage with the pregnancy/palliative support services in their community. NSA: Nursing Students' Association of USC

The NSA of USC is run by student volunteers who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing Science and Bachelor of Nursing Science Graduate entry degrees. Currently we have two groups working out of Sippy Downs and Caboolture campuses however, we are looking to expand to other campuses in the near future.

 

We work alongside academic staff, other USC health groups, as well as the USC Nursing and Midwifery Alumni group. We exist for the purpose of providing peer-based support, underlined with accurate and evidence-based information.  Our goal is to foster a sense of community and support for students by running events and activities to aid the learning, career advancement and social support of the cohort. Come along, learn new ideas, meet new people, make friends, develop skills and attend engaging and informative sessions… and there is usually pizza to share! We would love to hear from you and always welcome new members!

Psychology Club

USC Psychology club is an on-campus student to student learning group with teacher support. We are student run and operated focusing on undergraduate and honours student support within the Psychology degrees.

Our goal is to have a student to student learning environment, support network and social groups to ease the transition into university and to build networks for continuing students. Quidditch League

The University of the Sunshine Coast Quidditch League was founded in May 2014 and has evolved into a network of around 60 quidditch players of all skill levels, and their supporters. Through the league, a rich tapestry of friendships has been forged, and newcomers are always welcome. The league currently consists of fve teams who compete weekly in matches fueled by friendly onfeld rivalry, and in two intra-university tournaments per year. These teams are the Thestrals, Nargles, Phoenix, Death Eaters and Dragons.

SCAMPS

A collective of musicians, songwriters, composers, performers and entertainers from the USC student community and faculty. 


A place to gather together to play music, write songs and rehearse for gigs. 
Twice monthly jam sessions to be held at the Student Guild lead by Melinda Wells and Sean O'Boyle and the executive committee and supported by almost 40 current students.
This will be the landing point for on-campus gigs, songwriting projects and a support network for students studying music at USC.
